What to check on your notice

The typical Mohave County home gained 0.2% in the year to January 2026. A notice that rose far more than that, or a value above what similar homes nearby actually sold for, is the usual starting point for an appeal.

Keep the state's limits in mind: Limited Property Value (LPV) is used for primary property taxes. It can rise no more than 5% a year over the prior year's LPV and can never exceed full cash value. Secondary taxes use full cash value.
